“I believe that in a great city, or even in a small city or a village, a great theater is the outward and visible sign of an inward and probable culture.”
-Sir Laurence Olivier
A well rounded education is not limited to the mere study of books and the recitation of facts. It is the responsibility of the educators of today’s global society to ensure that each child is nurtured with the awareness that we live in a complex and diverse world that needs to be approached with sensitivity and respect. Students who will become leaders must have the capability to make forward thinking decisions based on ingenuity, compassion and an understanding of humanity.
ASIS is proud to be an institution that actively fosters the understanding that a strong appreciation for the arts is crucial to childhood development. Our Theatre Arts Department was established to encourage and support this conviction, working to stimulate our students to become wholehearted members of society capable of facing life’s challenges with commitment, enthusiasm and sheer hard work.
On May 23, 2009 our Theatre Arts Department was delighted to present our premiere performance, Shakespeare's own Hamlet. Please click below to see photos of our talented students and their outstanding performance
